Customer Ballerina Order

Just finished up a custom order for a ballerina set and sent it out this week.

They chose a yellow cover instead of the darker pink.  I just love the little girls name it is so sweet. This set is going to be a gift for the dance teacher of the customer's little girl.

The books now come with a snap closure instead of Velcro.  I was always concerned that the Velcro would not stay on.  The snaps are defiantly there to stay!! Plus they look a lot better than the Velcro.

A Happy Little Mermaid Owner

Wanted to share another picture of a happy little customer.  This one is loving her Mermaid Princess set.

Her mom said "Just wanted to let you know my daughter is really getting into dressing the dolls."

I have also been crazy busy with tons of tooth fairy pouches.  If you would like to keep up with all the little projects I am working on, you can follow Storybook Felts on Instagram.  I have been trying to post a few pics of orders before they go out.

I hope all of you are having a great week!

Busy Busy Me

If you are a teacher please use the code TEACHER15 to receive 15% off of your order this month at the Storybook Felts Etsy shop.

Hey everyone!  Happy Monday.  I hope all of you have survived the first week back to school if you have kiddos.  Ours was a little rough.  Boo broke his arm AGAIN on 8/8.  We had just bought him a new Razor scooter the day before.  Went camping that Friday and by that night we were in the ER getting his arm in a splint.
This is his arm when they pulled of the splint and were waiting to put on the cast.

The orthopedic doctor put the cast on the 11th.  We were back last Monday to see how things were progressing due to the fact that the doctor had to reset the bone while putting the cast on.  It had shifted slightly so we will be back today to find out how it is doing again.  We were informed if it shifted much more surgery would be involved AGAIN.  UGH!!

This is what the x-ray looked like after the cast was put on.

Our kiddos went back to school on the 18th.  I am now the mom of a 4th grader (Boo) and a 10th grader (Lulu).

Having one in high school is not pleasant. Due to the fact that she has all advanced classes, her classes are scattered from one end of the school to the other.  Literally from one end up front all the way to the other end way in the back.  She was finally doing great on Thursday and Friday then over the weekend it went down hill and she was "sick and didn't feel well" over the weekend.  She was begging to stay home this morning to no avail.

I have been crazy busy with getting new items worked up and ready to go into the shop as well as a new custom order that I just finished up.

It is a little weather set.  It has clothing for each season and will also come with clouds, sun, rain drops and snow flakes when it is listed in the shop.  If anyone is interested in ordering one now let me know.  I have some ready to go I just have not gotten them listed yet.

Due to the fact that this set is going to be used as a class room tool, I added a pair of undies and secured the hair to the doll.

I am thinking about adding undies to all of the dolls I make from now on. Let me know what you think.  Should I add permanent undies or just leave them naked?

Well, I am off to finish up an order for some tooth fairy pouches.  I hope all of you have a great week.

What I've Been Up To...

Summer has officially started here at our house.  The kids are out of school and we have been enjoying the pool.  Except this week has been cool and rainy.  I can't hardly get in already cool water when it is only in the 60's.  Our high is only supposed to be 70 again today. Boo also has some kind of virus that keeps him running a temp mid day but none at night or first thing in the morning.  No other symptoms really.  He has had something similar before and it took him almost 2 weeks to get over it.  We did go to the library and pick up some books yesterday.  We also picked up some movies the kids have been wanting to watch plus some new computer games.

I just finished up my new order for the Bobble Head Doll (see this POST).

This is what it looks like on one of my felt dolls.

It comes with the Surf Board, Shirt, Shorts, Sun Visor and Water.

I had fun with this set.  I got to embroider words on the shirt as well as the surf board.  I can't wait to see what it looks like on the doll. Next, I will be working on a July set with red, white and blue.  Can't wait to share it when it is finished.

Now I am off to do some book reviews on the Daisy Patch blog.  I hope all of you are having a wonderful summer.

Easter Basket Goodies

I am in the process of working up some super cute Easter goodies. One item is already in the Etsy Shop.

Felt Easter Egg Shaped Marker Crayon Holder

Cute little egg shaped marker holders.  They will also work for crayons as well.

Each egg comes with a set of four Pip-Squeaks washable markers in the colors show.  The eggs measure approx. 6 1/2" x 5" (17 x 13 cm).  They could be done in a wide variety of colors but I only worked them up in pink for girls and blue for boys.

They would be great paired up with a coloring book and other Easter goodies in basket. Keep an eye on the blog and shop for more Easter goodies. I hope to have them all finished by the end of this week.

Don't forget I also have the Easter doll and storyboard sets already available as well.

Ireland

I have always thought it would be nice to go to Ireland.

Everything there is just so beautiful!

The old castles fascinate me.

Sadly enough I am not going to Ireland, but this little person will be just as soon as she is finished.

She will be a birthday present for a little girl named Grace and will come complete with Ballerina clothes and Luau clothes.

I can't wait to get her finished so I can get her shipped off.  If I can't go to Ireland, at least I get to send a little piece of my heart to someone there!
